In the Pine Grove Children's Ministry, it is our utmost desire to teach the Gospel.

We are passionate about children fully understanding the Gospel and what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.  We share the Gospel as often

as possible and try to tie all of our lessons back to the Gospel.

When discussing the Gospel, we try hard to use the same verbiage

across all of our children's classes, VBS, camps, and activities.

Presenting the Gospel in the same manner across all aspects of our children's ministries enables all adults to be familiar with how we present the Gospel.

Therefore, if children have questions in Children's Church, Sunday School or VBS,

the adults can answer similarly to avoid confusing the children.

quote-left

CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE FROM THE LORD,
OFFSPRING A REWARD FROM HIM.
LIKE ARROWS IN THE HANDS OF A WARRIOR
ARE CHILDREN BORN IN ONE’S YOUTH.
BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE QUIVER IS FULL OF THEM.
THEY WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME WHEN THEY CONTEND WITH THEIR OPPONENTS IN COURT.

Psalms 127:3-5

In addition to teaching the Gospel, we strive to make sure children

understand the different parts of the Bible and how they tie back to the Gospel. When we were growing up, children's lessons were almost always taught by theme (ex:God's Promises), which is good because it allows children to see how God was faithful in many different situations throughout the Bible.

However, we also believe it is very important for lessons to be taught chronologically so that children know the whole story from the beginning

to the end. Because stories and lessons are often taught thematically,

connections are missed. For example, children may know about the

Promised Land, but they do not know why it is referred to as the "Promised Land," to whom the land was promised, or how long it took for that promise

to come to fruition. Even when we are teaching on a specific theme,

we always try to go back and make the connections to the rest of the Bible

so that children understand the big picture.
